Office building with lab areas - Obourg

Comet thought of modular construction, but this steel construction was a better choice

Symobo had already realized several projects for the Comet Group at home and abroad.

At the site in Obourg itself, we have already installed 2 modular projects in container construction.

Comet Traitements wanted to build a main building here. Given the good experiences with module construction, the client thought of a more luxurious container building with a permanent character. However, Symobo recommended opting for steel construction: in our opinion, the right way to build such a building. In collaboration with the Comet Traitements team, led by Claude Bodson, we then designed and built the central building based on a steel frame.

The main building is located at the entrance to the business premises. It includes lab rooms, desks, a reception area, meeting rooms and a kitchen. Everything was built and finished by Symobo from start to finish. The industrial building has a sleek design and finish. Focused on functionality and comfort. The striking staircase with large windows was designed to one day go to an additional 2nd floor.
